About this particular divorcée
So, although I will tell you a bit about me…This blog is anonymous. So that I can share all the gory (and sometimes really amazing) details! My ex and I split up almost one year ago, and I have recently begun dating...In this blog I promise to share it all...every date- the good, the bad and the ugly!
The most important things you should know:
I live in New York City, I am an artist, and I am learning to love myself again– through my divorce and through the amazing and crazy world that is DATING.
I am a pudgy, 36 year old mom who is still a catch– and I'm learning that men & sex are fun– just like I remembered!
Another thing you should know is that I am bringing back the word divorcée. Why am I bringing back divorcée you may ask? Because it is SEXY! It has an accent mark-- it sounds so much better than "someone who just got a divorce". It conjures up images of the 1940's when exes would drink martinis and engage in witty banter while they smoked cigarettes. It reminds me of Rosalind Russell in "His Girl Friday", who is so sexy she has Cary Grant and the other hot guy chasing after her the whole movie. And frankly, I am bringing back the word divorcée because it empowers me. And that is what I am learning on this journey-- whatever you can do to empower YOU! Do it.
So, with that...I hope you enjoy. Feel free to comment- I'd love it.
